I’m Dwayne, Founder & Principal Learning Strategist at DAY|WON.

My career didn’t follow a straight line. It took the scenic route through roles in brand, program management and learning at companies with renowned cultures, including Apple, Adidas, Zalando, Lululemon and, most recently, On — where I led Global Learning & Development, designing programs that supported rapid scale without losing what made the brand special.

In every role, I’ve focused on how learning drives performance, strengthens culture and helps people grow.

DAY|WON is a play on the letters of my first name and, more than that, it reflects the spirit of my work: creating learning experiences that level-set, reinforce or gently course-correct brand culture at critical moments.

My expertise is in setting L&D team strategy, brand & leadership onboarding, helping leaders and teams navigate change and new ways of working — experiences that help companies “win the day” or start a new chapter stronger, from “Day One.”

What began as a side project inside larger brands has grown into a intentional way to partner with companies that value culture, clarity & connection. Today, I partner with startups, scale-ups & internal teams within larger organizations to design learning that feels right and delivers.

    I’ve built and managed global onboarding programs & teams (Zalando, On), customized and facilitated onboarding sessions (Apple, Royal Caribbean), and, along with these brands, have also been a participant in some of the strongest brand onboarding experiences — including The Walt Disney Company, Starbucks and Nordstrom.

    My Customized Workshops and Fractional L&D Support offerings include tailored onboarding sessions that level-set clear cultural expectations from day one.

  • → I’ve worked across sectors, though my deepest experience arguably comes from tech, fashion & retail — including Apple, Adidas, Zalando, On and Lululemon.

  • → I hold two B.A. degrees from Pepperdine University — one in Organizational Communication (with a focus on Organizational Diversity & Learning & Development), and another in Theatre Arts (with an emphasis on Live Performance & Directing).

  • → I work across strategy, design and delivery — from learning strategy & onboarding to internal enablement, facilitation and training.

    That includes leadership onboarding, self-awareness development, team dynamics, internal communications and customized hardware/software training — (especially across Apple ecosystems).

    I’m also experienced in multicultural facilitation, having led sessions with participants from 50+ nationalities.

  • → I facilitate in English — though I’ve lived abroad for years, led regional & global teams, and worked with participants from over 50 countries.

    I speak super-basic German and Spanish, though trust me, participants don’t want to hear it. 🥴 I call it “Taxi Spanish” — good enough to get to the airport in a cab. And all in the present tense.

  • → Yes. I’m based in Berlin and happy to travel.

    I also design high-impact remote sessions for hybrid or distributed teams, and strategic support remotely for longer-term consulting engagements.
